Upcoming events
On Sunday 13th April, Perth is going to host a day of bike racing - just a stone’s throw from our shop and we’re throwing a party to celebrate. The race will be the first time since the Glasgow World champs that riders will have the opportunity to race on a city centre circuit in Scotland so it’d be great if you could make it along to show your support.
There’s a National B standard women’s and men’s race in the afternoon in addition to junior races as part of the Youth Tour of Scotland stage race in the morning with a shared £2000 prize pot. Races like this are a great opportunity for keen amateurs to test themselves against some of Scotland’s top riders. For spectators, the lapped format on a short city centre circuit will offer plenty opportunity to watch the racing unfold.
Join us back at Bramblers after the days racing for pizza from the best local pizzeria, the Olive Tree, and some beers from our favourite brewery, Cullach Brewing.
With the support of Scottish Cycling, we’ll also be hosting a gallery and discussion on the exciting developments in women’s racing with a number of special guests. Cycling journalist, Suvi Loponen, will be interviewing key stakeholders from across the sport to discuss the future of women’s racing. With the fifth edition of the Paris Roubaix Femmes taking place the day before this event and the recent announcement of a UK grand depart of the 2027 Tour De France Femmes, there’s plenty to get excited about.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the talk starting at 7.15pm and will last 30-40mins.
We’ll also be open from 8am until 4pm serving coffee from local roasters, Petit Yellow Velo.
Pizza ordered ahead of time (either on the booking form or before 4pm on the day) will be delivered to the shop before the talk. We’ve partnered with other local independent businesses to supply food and drink so that we can publish a report on the economic benefit generated from this race. The hope is that this will make it easier for other race organisers to make the case for racing in the future. For this reason, we’d kindly ask that you don’t bring other food and drink to the party.
Riders competing in the women's E/1/2/3/4 race will get free entry to the after party, just drop us an email or message on instagram and we'll send over your ticket.
Breakfast Club
For the last four years, we’ve headed out every Friday morning at 7.30am for a 5km socially paced, no-drop run, followed by breakfast back at Bramblers.
We’ll be making full use of the variety of running routes on our doorstep with different routes each week.
Also, it never rains at 7.30am on Friday mornings.
PAST EVENts
Looking back through the past four years, many of my best memories are from the events we’ve run. We’ve hosted two all-night rides, a 700km bikepacking race, a DIY brevet (the winner of which rode 300km on a fixie) in addition to our fair share of more ‘normal’ cycling events, galleries, yoga for cyclists, bike repair classes and such like.
We’ve taken on a bigger space in Perth which allow us to grow these events and brings us much closer to the places we love. We’ve already hosted three events in the new space and have many more on the horizon - keep an eye on our social media for the latest.
